- Click on the Setup Button at the bottom of the buddy list. Click on Buddy List Setup. Click on Add Buddy Type in the Screen Name. Press Enter. Click on Return to Buddy List.

- Double Click a Screen Name to IM someone.
How do I Make A Buddy Profile on Aim 5.9?
- Click on MY AIM, then click on Edit Profile.

- Right Click on a Screen Name, Click on View Buddy Info.
- Click on a Screen name and Click Info at the bottom.
How do I Use an Away Message?
- Click on Away near the bottom. Click on Default Away Message.
- Note: All Saved Messages go below Forward to Mobile.
How do I create my own Away Message?
- Click on Away near the bottom. Click on New Message. At Enter Label, type the name that you want to call this away message. Then Below, type your away message. Click on Save For Later Use, if you want to save this. Then Click on I'm Away.
How Do I Chat with Others?
- Select the Screen names you want to invite, you can add more screen names by pressing CTRL, and clicking on additional screen names. Click on Chat at the bottom. Type in a Chatroom Name thats easy to remember
How Do I Move Screen Names on my Buddy List?
- Hold down a screen name and move it to another group.
How do I Use Additional Tools
- Click on Setup, Click on Show Useful tools. You can select Fun Tools to get into the Games, Radio, Find A Buddy, and Greetings.
- Click on Communications Tools to get to Aim Web Meetings with Webex, Mobile IM, Link Names.
How Do I Play Games?
- Click on People, Click Open Games Chooser. A New Sidebar will be added, you can choose games to play online. Multiplayer Games will be shown with a 1.2 box in the left corner.
How Do I Change the way my Screen Name Looks?
- Click on My Aim, Click on Edit Options, Click on Format Screen Name.
